Federal government declares 3rd October public holiday

The federal government has declared Monday the 3rd of October as public holiday as Nigeria celebrates its 56 anniversary celebration. Retired lieutenant Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau minister of interior who made the declaration on behalf of the federal government congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the commemoration of this year’s independence anniversary. He assured that the government is working assiduously to put in place various measure to cushion the fact of the current economic challenges. The minister urged all Nigerians to continue to support president Muhammadu Buhari in his vowed determination to build a strong and united country in line with the dreams of the country’s founding fathers.
